Make sure your videos are 3 minutes or less* before attempting to upload them. To upload another video, repeat the process.

PLAYING THE GAME
Slam Matches
Slam Matches are the crux of Bam Bam Slam. How many matches in a row your video survives is called the Run of your video. To be an ultimate winner, you need to survive 6 of these matches.
Submit an uploaded video into a Slam Match by clicking the "Enter Slam!" button below the desired video in your BAM or Grabs bin. This will bring you to a confirmation screen asking you to confirm pertinent information about your video and the match you are about to enter.
To change the video details or associated category before entering, edit them by clicking on the "Change Details" button on the confirmation screen. Click "Submit" when you are finished making changes, and you will be returned to the confirmation screen.
When you confirm, you are officially entered into a Slam Match. If you are the fifth player to enter the match, the Game Time will begin ticking and you will have 48 hours to view and judge everyone's videos. If you are the first through fourth player to enter, you must wait for all places to be filled before the 48-hour countdown begins. However, you will still be allowed to visit the Slam Room to view existing players' videos, if so desired.
The Slam Room
Here is where all the magic happens. The Slam Room is composed of three main components: five player stations with accompanying ranking scales, a Video Player, and a Game Status box.
You are randomly placed in one of the five player stations at the bottom of the screen. Yours will be the default video displayed in the Video Player. To view another player's video, simply click on their video icon located in their player station. You may view their video as many times as you'd like.
After viewing all players' videos, rank them from best to worst. The ranking scale is located beneath each player icon. Note: You are not included in your own ranking selection. You may change your ranking preference as much as you'd like before you click "Submit Vote". Once you confirm your vote, you can no longer go back and change it.
You will have 48 hours to judge after the fifth player joins the match. You may return to the Slam Room at any time before the final player submits their vote. To check the status of the game, refer to the Game Status box, which contains such information as the time remaining to vote, whether or not you have voted, and which players have yet to vote.
As a courtesy to the other players, it is considerate to vote as soon as you are able to. This ensures faster-paced games and more frequent rewards.
Generally, all videos in your Slam Room will be of the same subcategory as yours. In higher rounds, due to the volume of videos in play, it may occur that videos of the same category (e.g. The Real Deal), but of different subcategories, will be placed together. For instance, your dance video might be pitted against two singers, an actor, and a rapper.
Important features of the Slam Room:
Slams
A "slam" is a way for a player to injure an opponent's chance at proceeding in the competition and a way to regulate the quality of talent of the videos you view. If you deem a video unoriginal or offensive, it is appropriate to slam it. You are granted three slams to use against other players when you enter a Round 1 Slam Match. They are symbolized in your Video Player by an icon of a lightning bolt. You may slam an opponent's video at any time during a match before you submit your vote, by clicking on the "Slam!" button in the Video Player while their video is on display. The slams you own and the slams you receive will be carried over from one match to another for the entire Run of your video. You may utilize all three slams in one match but only once per player. A smart player will save their slams to be used at crucial moments, during higher rounds. If you receive three slams from other players, during your video's Run, you are slammed out of the current Slam Match. This means you are unable to submit a vote, lose a life, and have to re-enter your video at the same level. (Unless it is the third life you have lost, in which case you must start over.)
Lives
"Lives" are chances you get throughout the Run of your video to make it to Round 6. You are granted three lives when you enter a Round 1 Slam Match. They are symbolized in your Video Player by an icon of a star. There are two ways to lose a life. One is not being chosen as the victor in a Slam Match. If you lose a match, you must enter again at the same level match. The second way is if you receive three slams during the Run of your video. Whatever round you are currently at when you receive your third slam is where you must re-enter your video. Lose all three lives—Game Over. You must start again at Round 1, either submitting the same or another video.
WINNING THE GAME
Winning a Round 1 Slam Match is the first step in winning Bam Bam Slam. After you are chosen the winner, you are awarded the status and amount of tokens necessary to enter a Round 2 Slam Match. This is true for all the rounds you win up to Round 6. If you win a Round 6 game, your video is reviewed by Bam Bam Slam to ensure video originality. If we confirm that your entry abides video regulations, a reward amount is deposited directly into your Paypal account.
Your video is not automatically submitted into the next round. It is up to you to decide when to reenter.
In the event of a tie, the winner is determined based on the accumulative point total of each player's video (every vote during a match is assigned a point amount; 1st=10, 2nd=6, 3rd=3, 4th=1). Whoever has the highest point total wins. If the tying players have equal point totals, neither advances a round nor loses a life. They replay the same round with different players.
ENTRY FEES AND PRIZES
Entry fees vary depending on what category you enter your video in.
Cash pay-outs are as follows:
If you are a Round 6 winner with
All three lives remaining: 100 times entry fee
Only two lives remaining: 50 times entry fee
One life remaining: 25 times entry fee
FEATURE NOTES
Grabbing
Each video a player uploads is able to be "grabbed" by another player. By clicking on the "Grab This!" button located in the Video Player of any player's video that is displayed, it is added to your "Grabs" bin located on the right-hand panel of your profile page. In doing this, you become a "Fan" of the video's proprietor. You can only be removed from their list if they delete you. This feature is useful for not losing track of videos you really like and for making a player aware of your admiration. You can also use your Grabs bin as a catalogue of videos you may want to represent in the future.
Representing
If a video in your "Grabs" bin is tagged as "Representable" located next to the video icon (or also located near the bottom of the Video Player), you are able to submit it into a Slam Match without being its owner.
In a Represented Slam Match, if you win each match you play, you must continue on to Round 6. If you win Round 6, your cash reward will be split 50/50 between you and the proprietor.
To make your own video representable, you can choose that option while uploading the video for the first time. To change your video's Representable status, click on the BAM tab in your dashboard or the "See All" in your "BAM" bin located on the right-hand panel of your profile page. This brings you to a screen that will provide you with a drop-down menu attached to all uploaded videos. Choose the "add/remove representable status" option.
This feature is useful for proprietors of videos in the case that they have videos to upload but do not want to pay an entry fee to submit them into a Slam Match. It benefits artists who have a large fan base that would be willing to support their videos in competition.
It is also useful for the representer in the case of players who do not have material they feel will make it to the top, but still want to be privy to the awards of the game.
Note: You may only submit a Representable video into a Slam Match if it is first in your "Grabs" bin.
FUN FEATURES
Hot or Not
This feature is located on all Video Players except for that located in the Slam Room. All viewers, ranging from visitors of Bam Bam Slam to your opponents, can rate you "Hot" or "Not". This statistic will appear in your "More Details" file located in the Video Player. It does not affect any results of Slam Matches and is for recreational use only.
Who's on Top
This feature is displayed on the homepage and on the category view pages. Each video shown is the current top video in each category. It is constantly updated as new winners are chosen. Because visitor and members alike have access to view "Who's on Top", players in these positions gain much exposure.
Friends
To add someone as your friend, click on the "Add as Friend" button located in the Video Player of their video or next to their icon in their profile bin. In order to search for players, use the Search feature located on the left-hand panel of the site. You can search for players by their real name, Stage Name, or e-mail address.
To view your friends, click on the "Friends" tab on your profile page. To edit them, click "edit" inside your "Friends" bin.
Fans
Fans are automatically added to your "Fans" bin when they grab one of your videos. You also become a fan of someone who you have requested to be your friend, but they have not yet approved the friendship.
To view your fans, click on the "Fans" tab on your profile page. You cannot add fans. To remove a fan, click "edit" inside your "Fans" bin.
Slam Mail
Once you create an account with Bam Bam Slam, you are automatically given your own Slam Mail account. You can use this to interact with other Bam Bam Slam players. You can either message someone straight from their video or profile, or you can go to your Slam Mail account by clicking on one of the top navigation buttons entitled "Slam Mail".
RESTRICTIONS
Videos must not contain over sexually explicit, violent, offensive, or copyrighted material. Viewers are able to "flag" such contented videos (located on the bottom of the Video Player). Bam Bam Slam will subsequently review the flagged video. If it is identified as restricted, your account will be closed.
If there is a question or doubt as to what falls under these types of restrictions, send it first to Bam Bam Slam's reviewing team before uploading it. They will respond promptly to your inquiry.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Bam Bam Slam is a place where exciting artistic people can come together to share their creativity, artwork and lifestyles. It is an "enter at your own risk" environment, therefore harmless light-hearted ridicule is expected and constructive criticism is welcomed. However, we strictly prohibit outright nasty, cruel, or lewd comments and/or behavior.
If repeated complaints about a player's behavior are reported, that player will be investigated and warned. If the behavior persists, actions will be taken to close their account.

Fans
Anyone who has grabbed one of your videos.

Grabs
Videos of others you like and want to keep for future viewing. They will go into your "Grabs" bin, and you will be added as one of their fans.
Judging
The process in voting a winner in a match. Every contestant is required to view and rank the four opposing videos from best to worst. Best gets 10 points, second gets 6 points, third gets 3 points, and fourth gets 1 point. The points are totaled and the highest point total is the winner of that match.
Lives
Should be self-explanatory, unless you were born pre-videogame era. They are the same as chances- chances you get to rise to the top, even though you have lost a match.
Profile
Your identity on the site. We encourage you to put a link into your own personal home page, so fans can get to know you better.
Profile Box
This is the box below the Video Player that contains personal stats, slam stats, and friends and fans of the player's profile you're viewing.
Representing
A method in which a fan can act as the temporary proprietor of a player's video, being the investor of the entrance fee and the judge of the matches. If the video wins Round 6, both the original proprietor and representative split the prize money.
Representable
A video that has been chosen by their proprietor to be offered to a friend, fan, or family member, if they should choose to want to represent that video. A video can only be represented by one person at a time. Therefore, once a player chooses to represent it, it no longer holds Representable status. After the representative either loses all their lives, or wins Round 6, the video resumes Representable status.
Round/Level
A way of advancing the game. There are 6 Rounds. Each time you win a match you advance to the next higher level. If you reach the sixth level and win, you cash out.
Slam
A way to express dislike for a video or a performer. A video that is slammed by 3 different players, loses a life and if removed from that match. Slam is also a term derived from the great ancestry of poets from the 1970's that started Poetry Slams as a way of competing. The term was then adopted into Talent Slams.
Slam Match
A competition between 5 contestants.
Slam Room
The "place" on the site that the matches take place.
